Description

This antique religious medal is an oval pendant, made of gold-toned metal, with Catholic inspiration. On the visible side, it depicts the Virgin Mary standing, with arms open and slightly outstretched, surrounded by an embossed inscription. The outline of the medallion is perfectly smooth, with a brilliant finish that elegantly catches the light. The suspension bail, also made of metal, is securely attached and suitable for wearing as a pendant or for attaching to a rosary.

The central embossed motif shows the Virgin Mary, typical of the Miraculous Medal, with careful detailing of the robe, veil, and face. The French inscription surrounds the figure: "O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. 1830". This mention, as well as the date, are emblematic of the Catholic tradition and the so-called "miraculous" medal as disseminated since the 19th century.

The surface has a uniform gold finish, with no additional ornamentation or stones. The details of the face, hands, and base are sharp, highlighting the striking work.
