Description

This old religious medal has a classic round shape, with an attachment ring integrated into the metal, allowing it to be suspended from a chain or cord. On the visible side, a detailed relief depicts Christ, identifiable by the iconography of the Sacred Heart, surrounded by a halo. The details of the face, hands and heart are still clearly legible despite significant wear, typical of pieces worn daily over a long period.

The surface of the medal shows a pronounced patina, alternating matte areas and brighter golden glints, indicative of an original gilded finish. The relief, slightly eroded, nevertheless retains its main lines and highlights the central representation. The circular border, also gilded, harmoniously frames the religious scene.

The reverse side is not visible in the photo, but the edge shows a metallic appearance with traces of light oxidation, typical of the alloys used for this type of religious medal in the 20th century. The attachment ring, with an antique appearance, seems original and shows traces of wear consistent with the rest of the piece.

The chain visible in the photo, partially apparent, also seems to be from the period but is not fully described. The whole evokes a popular devotional jewel, probably produced between the 1930s and 1960s, given the figurative style and the gilding technique observed.

Used item, sold as is. Visible wear of the gilding, partially faded reliefs, homogeneous patina on the observable side. No major chips or visible deformation, but wear and tear are evident on the entire piece.
