This antique religious medal features an oval shape with decorative framing and a silver finish visible across the entire surface. The piece is mounted on a metal ring for easy suspension, typical of religious medals worn around the neck, on a rosary, or as a keyring.

On the visible side, the medal depicts a high-relief representation of the Virgin Mary with open arms, surrounded by cloud and star motifs. The inscription "JANUA COELI" is clearly visible at the top of the scene, a Latin phrase meaning "Gate of Heaven," often associated with the Virgin in Christian tradition. The central relief is highlighted by an ornate rocaille border, adding a decorative dimension typical of devotional objects from the 19th or early 20th century.

The surface shows a characteristic antique patina, with some signs of wear and oxidation that attest to the object's age. The details of the Virgin's face and hands are still clearly visible, as are the ornamental elements of the border.
