Description

This antique religious medal features a polylobed shape, typical of French productions from the early to mid-20th century. On its visible side, it bears a relief decoration, representing the Sanctuary of Lourdes with its famous basilica, identifiable by its slender silhouette and its towers. The inscription "SOUVENIR DE N.D. DU ROSAIRE" (SOUVENIR OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY) surrounds the central scene, while the word "LOURDES" is clearly engraved at the bottom, confirming the object's origin and spiritual purpose.

The visible surface shows a matte finish with a metallic appearance, with a slight patina that testifies to its age and authenticity. The outline of the medal is worked in the shape of a cloud or polylobes, a common ornamentation in religious pilgrimage medals. The suspension ring is present at the top, allowing the medal to be used as a pendant or charm.

The central motif, in slight relief, accentuates the depth of the architectural decoration. The details of the main building, as well as the esplanade and the stylized contours of the sanctuary, are clearly distinguishable.
