Description

This antique religious medal features a classic oval shape and an integrated suspension ring. Made of metal, it boasts a matte grey finish with a slight patina, attesting to its age and authenticity. On the visible side, the central relief depicts the Sacred Heart of Jesus, identifiable by the radiant heart motif on the chest and the halo surrounding the head. The expression and drapery of the garment are finely rendered, typical of French devotional medal productions from the early to mid-20th century.

The edge of the medal is adorned with a raised Latin inscription, which appears to read: "COR JESU VITA ET RESURRECTIO NOSTRA", translating to "Heart of Jesus, our life and our resurrection".
