Description

This antique religious medal features an oval shape with an exposed metal suspension ring at the top, allowing for easy wear on a chain or cord. On the visible side, there is a relief motif depicting the Virgin and Child, typical of Catholic iconography. The details of the face, veil, and maternal posture are finely engraved, though slightly patinated by time, giving the object an authentic charm.

The surface of the medal has a bronze-like finish, with a uniform patina and some visible traces of natural wear on the reliefs, characteristic of a vintage item. The peripheral inscription, in capital letters, surrounds the religious scene; although partially legible in the photo, it appears to begin with "REGINA" — a Latin term meaning "Queen," often associated with the Virgin Mary in Christian tradition. The other letters are difficult to decipher in the image.

The edge of the medal is smooth, without additional ornamentation, which highlights the central motif.
