Description

This religious medal has a slightly irregular polygonal shape, typical of small pious medals from the 20th century. Made of metal (according to the keywords), it displays a matte gray patina, with visible traces of oxidation and wear on the entire surface, accentuating its vintage and antique appearance.

The visible side is adorned with a figurative relief depicting the scene of the apparition of the Virgin in Lourdes: a female figure in prayer (presumably Bernadette Soubirous) kneels on the left, while another standing figure (the Virgin Mary) stands on a rocky base on the right. The details of the decoration show fine engraving, although slightly softened by the wear and tear of time.

At the bottom of the medallion, the inscription "LOURDES" appears in raised capital letters, confirming the religious origin and the place associated with this medal. The dark-colored suspension ring is integrated directly into the upper part, allowing easy wear as a pendant or on a rosary.

The medal has an irregular texture, with softened reliefs and some surface marks, attesting to its age and use. However, the religious scene remains clearly legible. No other motif or inscription appears on the visible side of the medal.
