Description

This antique religious medal features an octagonal shape, uncommon in classic Catholic devotional medals. On the visible side, it features a relief depicting Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, recognizable by her veil and the bouquet of roses she holds in her arms, an iconographic symbol associated with this saint. The embossed inscription "STE THERESE DE L'ENFANT JESUS" encircles the depiction, with a simple and legible font. The surface of the medal has a silvery appearance, with a slightly satin finish that reveals some matte reflections depending on the angle of the light.

The octagonal edge is clean, highlighting the finesse of the striking work. The medal is equipped with a metal ring attached to the upper axis, allowing it to be worn as a pendant, on a chain or a bracelet. No reverse side or back details are visible in this photograph.

The central scene shows Saint Thérèse in bust, her head tilted to the left, her gaze lowered, in a contemplative attitude.
