Description

This antique religious medal features Saint Guy in relief on its visible side. The item has a classic round shape, with an integrated suspension ring, allowing it to be easily worn as a pendant. The medal has a matte grey metallic finish, typical of 20th-century religious productions, with no visible indication of gilding or silvering on the shown side.

The central motif depicts Saint Guy, identified by the inscription "SAINT GUY" molded in relief on the left edge. The saint is shown in bust, haloed, holding a palm in his right hand, a traditional symbol of martyrdom. To the right of the figure, the letters "P. P. N." (Priez Pour Nous - Pray For Us) are also visible in relief. The details of the face and clothing are simple, with a stylized treatment of the drapery and contours, characteristic of religious medals mass-produced in the first to second half of the 20th century.

The suspension ring, integral to the medal's body, has an opening wide enough to accommodate a chain or cord. The whole is mounted here on a grey braided cord visible in the photo, which is not integrated into the medal but simply threaded through the ring. The surface shows some signs of wear and a natural patina linked to age, contributing to the vintage appearance of the piece.

The background decoration is deliberately plain, highlighting the figure of the saint and the inscriptions. Slight surface irregularities are observed, typical of molded metal objects for popular and devotional use. No hallmark or signature is visible on the shown side.
