Description

This antique religious medal features Saint Gerard Majella, an emblematic Catholic figure, in high relief on one visible side. The medal is round, with an integrated bail for attaching it to a chain or cord. The saint is depicted in religious attire, holding a cross in his arms, and a skull is sculpted beside him, a classic symbol of meditation on death in Christian iconography. The raised inscription around the main motif clearly reads: "SANCTE GERARDE MAIELLA ORA PRO NOBIS".

The surface appearance suggests a matte metallic finish, slightly patinated, typical of religious objects disseminated during the 20th century.
