Description

This old religious medal depicts Saint Jean François Régis. Round in shape, it features a detailed bust relief of the saint holding a cross in his right hand. The inscription in capital letters "ST. JEAN FRANCOIS REGIS P.P.M." surrounds the scene on the visible side. The portrait and letters are in slight relief, accentuating the traditional appearance of the piece. The integrated, wide and solid attachment ring allows the medal to be easily worn as a pendant or attached to a rosary.

The surface of the medal shows an old patina, with brown and golden hues characteristic of aged bronze. The slightly satiny appearance and visible wear marks on the edge testify to past use while giving the object an authentic charm. The details of the face, the cross, and the folds of the garment are well preserved, offering good readability to the whole.
