This antique religious medal features a round shape with an integrated bail for hanging. On the visible side, it displays a relief depicting a Virgin and Child, a classic motif in Christian iconography. The Virgin's haloed face is turned towards the infant Jesus whom she holds in her arms. The entire decoration is rendered in bas-relief, with marked details in the drapery and the contours of the faces.

The medal's surface shows a bluish patina, characteristic of metal that has aged over time.
