Description
This antique miniature represents a small bottle of the Bols brand, identifiable by its legible front label "Z.O. GENEVER" and "BOLS". The bottle is made of stoneware, as indicated by its grainy visual appearance and its light brown color typical of this traditional Dutch spirit material. The shape is cylindrical with a rounded shoulder and a short neck, topped by a thick spout without a visible cap. The whole has a rough finish, with surface irregularities and natural nuances of the stoneware, reinforcing the vintage authenticity of the object.

The visible side bears a large paper label in apparently good condition, printed in black and red, mentioning "Z.O. GENEVER" at the top and "BOLS" very prominently in the center. Several lines of text in Dutch are inscribed, as well as the mention "PRODUCE OF HOLLAND" and the capacity "0.05 l" clearly indicated in the lower part. The label, with its retro graphics, attests to a traditional advertising style of European spirits from the 20th century.

The bottle has a uniform light brown hue, with some small dark spots visible on the surface, probably due to the firing of the stoneware. No additional decoration is visible on the presented side. The base, partially visible, displays the same rough texture and the object is photographed outdoors, placed on a wooden surface, which highlights its authentic patina and its decorative aspect.

The Bols brand, legible on the label, is renowned for its Dutch spirits, especially genever (the ancestor of gin). The mignonette format, here in stoneware, is sought after for bar decoration or for collecting old advertising objects. The object, by its appearance and typology, is characteristic of productions from the mid to late 20th century, but the absence of other precise indications does not allow for finer dating.

This miniature bottle is ideal for decorating a bar shelf, a retro display case, or completing a decor inspired by old-fashioned cafes and bistros. It can also serve as a curiosity for lovers of classic advertising design or distillery objects.
