Description

This antique miniature features a small green glass bottle, topped with a gold-colored screw cap. The well-preserved, brightly colored label displays "POMME D’AMOUR" in blue capital letters, accompanied by the description "Liqueur anisée Pastis + Grenadine". A richly illustrated central crest, in red, blue, and gold tones, occupies the lower part of the label, framed by "Tradition Provençale" and "Distillerie Janot 13 Aubagne (B.d.R)". The visible capacity is 2 cl, typical of promotional miniatures or souvenirs from bars and restaurants in the South of France.

The bottle's shape is cylindrical, with a slightly rounded shoulder and an elongated neck, classic for tasting or sample sizes. The glass has good transparency, allowing a glimpse of the liquid inside. The retro-graphic label evokes a 1970s-1980s style, reinforced by the typographic choice and the aesthetic of the Provençal crest.

The inscriptions are perfectly legible on the visible side. No major defects appear on the photographed part: the label seems neither torn nor faded, and the cap has a uniform shiny finish. Regulatory indications and the manufacturer's mention are noted at the bottom of the label, common elements on products from that era.

This type of miniature was often offered as a promotional item or souvenir by regional distilleries, highlighting local specialties such as pastis and grenadine. The whole reflects a typical traditional Provence style, both in the choice of colors and in the visual presentation.

The presentation in the photo, with a carved wood panel background, emphasizes the decorative and vintage aspect of the bottle. No other accessories or elements are visible in the image.

Condition

Used item sold as is. The visible side shows very good preservation, with no noticeable wear on the label or cap (see photo).

Did you know? The Janot distillery, founded in Aubagne, is known for its aniseed aperitifs typical of the South of France. Miniatures were particularly popular in the 1960s to 1980s as promotional items, often collected for their colorful labels and their evocation of regional traditions.
