Description

Miniature visible in the photo: it is a small bottle of Armagnac from the Sempé brand, Napoleon edition. The bottle has a classic, distinctly-shouldered silhouette, made of frosted glass, with a coat of arms relief adorned with a lion on the front. The bottle bears an old-looking label, golden in color with black and red inscriptions. The words "Armagnac Napoléon" are clearly visible, as is the brand "Sempé" in red capital letters at the bottom of the label.

The neck of the bottle is sealed with a red wax overlay, characteristic of traditional bottlings, adding an authentic and vintage touch to the whole. The wax forms a thick and irregular stopper, clearly visible on the upper part of the neck. The label shows some visible signs of wear, typical of an old object, but remains generally legible. No other accessories or elements are visible in the photo.

The bottle is photographed in natural light, placed on a wooden support, which brings out the green hue of the glass and the patina of time. The general style, the label, the relief on the glass, and the wax seal clearly evoke a production from a past era, probably from the mid to late 20th century, which corresponds to the "vintage" appellation and the typology of old miniature alcohol bottles.

The distinctive coat of arms relief on the glass, the matte finish, and the compact shape are sought-after elements for this type of bottle. No major structural defects are visible on the front, but some superficial marks or scratches are noticeable on the body of the bottle, reinforcing the character of a pre-owned item.

Condition

Pre-owned item, sold as is: visible signs of wear on the label, some marks or scratches on the glass, original red wax intact and undisturbed on the top of the neck. See photo for the exact condition of the visible side.

Did you know? The Sempé house, founded in 1934 in Eauze, in the Gers, is one of the historical producers of Armagnac. Miniature Armagnacs, often offered as souvenirs or promotional items, are highly sought after for their manufacturing quality and retro aesthetic. The appellation "Napoléon" designates an Armagnac aged at least six years in barrels, making it a category appreciated by connoisseurs.
