Vintage Rival mechanical pocket watch with gold dial, for restoration

Description Old pocket watch, signed "RIVAL FRANCE" on the dial, round in shape. The dial has a patinated golden finish, with clearly visible raised Arabic numerals, typical of the first decades of the 20th century. The watch has two visible hands, one of which is positioned at "10", the other between "6" and "7". The dial shows a strong patina, traces of oxidation and visible signs of wear, particularly on the outer part and on the glass (scratches, surface wear, chips on the edge).

The perimeter of the dial features a clearly legible minute scale, with markers every five digits, on an aged gold background. The central inscription "RIVAL FRANCE" is partially erased but remains identifiable. The case has a golden metallic appearance, with numerous traces of age and a matte surface.

This mechanical, hand-wound watch (typical central button present) is photographed in a wooden box lined with white fabric, placed on a lace background. No accessories or chain are visible in the photo.

The overall impression suggests a vintage model, probably from the 1930s to 1950s, by its graphic style and the typography of the dial. The wear and patina attest to a long history and ancient use.
