Description

This antique mechanical ladies' watch features a rectangular dial with chamfered corners, characteristic of vintage models from the early to mid-20th century. The dial, in aged beige, is framed by a double decorative black line. The Arabic numerals are clearly inscribed from 1 to 12, with the mention "RO." partially visible below the number 12, suggesting an abbreviation or the beginning of a brand, which cannot be identified with certainty. The visible hands are dauphine or leaf-shaped, in a dark tone, contrasting with the background of the dial.

The watch is missing its external casing, revealing the movement and the plate around the dial, which confirms that it is an item to be restored. The metallic edges show a dark finish with noticeable traces of oxidation and wear, accentuating the antique appearance of the piece. Two circular openings are visible at the top and bottom of the plate, probably intended for the original attachment or casing. The winding crown, located on the right side, is fluted and also shows signs of age.

The rectangular dial, typical of the 1920s to 1940s, evokes the Art Deco style, although the absence of a complete case does not allow for a precise affirmation of the period without reservation. The ensemble exudes a strong retro charm, sought after by collectors of antique watches to be restored or re-purposed in watchmaking creations.
