Description

This lot features a mechanical watch movement from the Lincoln brand, presented without its case, as shown in the photo. The round dial displays a clear, slightly patinated finish, with applied gold indices and a central "LINCOLN" marking. The visible hands are also gold-colored, in a baton shape, with a central axis for the second hand that is either missing or not visible on this side.

The inscription "INCABLOC 17 JEWELS" is located below the center of the dial, indicating the presence of an Incabloc shock protection system and a 17-jewel movement, characteristic of quality mechanical watches. The golden, fluted winding crown is visible on the right side of the movement, facilitating time setting and manual winding.

The overall appearance of the dial shows signs of use and an aged patina typical of a vintage mechanism. The indices are raised, highlighting a classic style found in watches from the second half of the 20th century. No case, strap, or back is present in the photo: only the movement and its dial are offered.

The edge of the dial reveals the side of the mechanism, with a matte metallic finish and some visible signs of wear. No particular decorative patterns are present, with the design prioritizing readability and traditional watchmaking sobriety.

The inscriptions are legible and faithful to the original, with no other apparent markings on the visible face. This Lincoln movement stands out for its retro aesthetic, typical of vintage mechanical wristwatches, and would be suitable for restoration or replacement on a compatible watch.

Condition

Used item, sold as is, with visible signs of wear, marks on the dial, and overall patina. Functionality not tested, sold as a watch part for restoration or for parts.

Did you know? The Incabloc system, mentioned on this dial, was invented in Switzerland in 1934 to protect balance staff pivots from shocks. It has been used in many quality mechanical watch movements since the 1950s and remains a benchmark in traditional watchmaking.
