Description

Vintage mechanical watch movement, Palermo brand, for repair or spare parts. The visible dial has a tonneau (rounded rectangular) shape and a matte silver finish, with applied gold-colored hour markers and numerals at 12 and 6 o'clock. The hands, also gold-colored, are in the center, and the inscription "17 RUBIS" (17 JEWELS) is written below the central axis, indicating the presence of 17 jewels in the movement to limit wear on the pivots.

The dial displays the "Palermo" brand in cursive letters below the 12 o'clock marker. The whole shows visible signs of wear: scratches, marks, and patina on the surface, as well as traces of oxidation or dirt, particularly around the hour markers and on the lower part of the dial. The visible notched winder is located to the right of the movement, with a worn metallic finish.

The watch does not include glass, case, or strap in the photo: only the complete movement with dial and hands is offered. The general appearance suggests a model from the 1960s-1970s, typical of vintage mechanical watches of that period, but without precise indication of the decade on the piece itself.

This type of movement can be suitable for restoring antique watches or for salvaging components (hands, dial, winder, internal mechanism). The retro aesthetic and natural patina testify to its authenticity and age.
