Description

This vintage mechanical watch movement features a distinctive octagonal shape, visible on the front face. The patinated cream-colored dial shows significant wear and traces of oxidation, attesting to its age and previous use. Black Arabic numerals are placed every three hours, surrounded by a double minute track, typical of watches from the early to mid-20th century.

The visible hands are classic in style, black, with a fine tip for the minute hand and a shorter hour hand. A second hand is also present, although partially obscured by the central axis and the condition of the dial. At the bottom of the dial is the inscription "SWISS", indicating Swiss origin, a traditional guarantee of quality in mechanical watchmaking.

The apparent case, without glass or strap, reveals part of the mechanism at the bottom of the dial, reinforcing the authentic character of a piece to be restored. The winding crown, positioned at three o'clock, is fluted and also shows signs of wear. The dial surface has a matte finish, with visible marks and scratches, accentuating the antique style of this watch component.

The assembly is photographed resting on a watch cushion, itself on an old wooden box, which highlights the contrast between the patina of the dial and the surrounding materials. No specific brand marking is legible other than the "SWISS" indication.
