Description

This lot features an authentic old laundry detergent package from the LYS brand, likely dating back to the 1950s, as evidenced by its graphics and typography typical of the era. The visible packaging is a rigid rectangular cardboard box, with a sloped front and a slightly crushed top opening, characteristic of post-war household packaging.

The front face sports a matte navy blue dominant color, framed by a beige border, with the LYS brand inscribed in large red letters outlined in beige, in an immediately recognizable late Art Deco style. The inscription "LAVE SANS SAVON" (WASHES WITHOUT SOAP) appears in red capitals, centered on the lower part of the package, highlighting the product's specificity. At the bottom of the visible side, we find the mention "FABRIQUÉE PAR LES LABORATOIRES DE Claire" (MANUFACTURED BY Claire LABORATORIES), followed by the address "21, Bd Louis Blanc – MONTPELLIER", printed in slightly patinated gold characters.

The cardboard surface shows uniform wear, with traces of dust, small stains, and slight discoloration due to age. The upper left corner is marked by a small indentation, while the base of the package shows visible deformation, typical of prolonged storage.
