Description

This lot, visible in the photo, consists of a pair of antique French-made roller skates, typical of models offered in the 1960s-70s. Each skate features a metallic-looking main structure, with a perforated plate at the front, secured by visible rivets. The foot-holding system is provided by buckle and pin straps, with a natural patinated leather look, fixed to the top and back of the plate. Size adjustment is made possible by a central groove and a tightening square visible on each skate, allowing the length to be adapted to the user's foot.

The wheels are mounted on robust axles, clearly visible in the photo, and feature a gray finish matching the plate. The general shape, with rounded edges and a low silhouette, is characteristic of period roller skates, designed to be worn over shoes. The skates show authentic wear, particularly on the straps, with a uniform patina and traces of use on the metal surfaces, reflecting their age and past use.

On the upper surface of each plate, several circular perforations are visible, as well as original fastening elements. An inscription, not very legible in the photo, seems to be present on one of the skates, adding an extra touch of authenticity. The whole retains a very distinct retro aesthetic, ideal for evoking the atmosphere of urban and popular leisure activities of the mid-20th century.

Used item, sold as is. The skates show visible wear on the straps (leather appearance) and traces of oxidation or friction on the metal parts. The adjustment and fastening mechanisms are present but not tested. The wheels show signs of use consistent with the age of the item.
