This document is an old sewing pattern from the brand "Les Patrons Élégants", published in Paris by the Manufacture de Patrons located at 71 Faubourg Saint Martin. The pattern shown is for making a boy's suit, designed for children aged 2 to 4 years. The cover, made of thick pale blue-green paper, is adorned with an illustration typical of the first half of the 20th century, depicting a young boy dressed in a short set, shirt and baggy shorts, accompanied by a wheeled toy. The set is completed by a small item of clothing illustrated below (probably an accessory or a detail of the costume), numbered 9876.

The main inscription, "PATRONS ÉLÉGANTS the simplest the most practical", highlights the ease of use of these models, a recurring argument in the communication of sewing pattern manufacturers of the time. The typography, graphics and price displayed in francs ("100 Frs") clearly place this pattern in the 1930s-1940s, a period when this type of documentation was commonly used by home seamstresses.
