Description
This document, visible in the photo, is an old sewing pattern, referenced N°52, published by E.A. (indicated at the bottom of the page). It is a period publication dedicated to making women's lingerie, as specified by the bodice illustrations and the mention "3 lingerie bodices in size 42" in the upper left. The aesthetic of the drawing, the clothing style, and the typography are typical of the early 80s, confirmed by the printing date 1984 indicated at the bottom of the page.
The visible side features a black and white illustrated cover, with three female figures wearing lingerie models. The outlines are clear, the drawing is signed "P. Feignard", and the details highlight characteristic elements of women's fashion from this period, such as thin straps, decorative yokes, and openwork patterns. The whole is framed by a blue border, a color reused on the right edge where the vertical inscription "PATRON-OUVRAGES" (PATTERN-WORKS) appears.
The table of contents also mentions additional works ("basket and knitting bag, sewing basket, scissor pouches, glasses case") and a crossword puzzle on the back. The general presentation, with its graphic fonts and layout, reflects the editorial design common in French vintage sewing magazines from the early 1980s.
At the bottom of the page, we find the printing mention: "Imprimerie de Maisons-Alfort, 1984", as well as the printer's full address. No major defects are visible on the shown side, apart from slight handling marks on the upper right corner and a discreet ripple on the paper.
This old pattern is ideal for faithful reproduction of retro models, recreation of period clothing, or the study of 1980s sewing techniques. The observed format is that of a large flexible sheet, typical of fold-out patterns.
