Description

This document is a vintage sewing pattern from the free weekly supplement "Femmes d'Aujourd'hui" No. 1350, dated March 17, 1971. This original pattern provides instructions for making two dress models: one for women (No. 3600, size 44, category A) and one for girls (No. 3601, size 5 years, category C), as indicated at the bottom of the page. The graphic aesthetic, typical of the early 1970s, is reflected in the neat presentation of the diagrams and the black and white photograph featuring a woman and a girl wearing the proposed creations.

The visible page shows the layout of the different pattern pieces on the fabric, with precise indications: placements, numbering of parts (sleeve, front, back, band, pocket, collar tab?), and clear legends. The diagrams are detailed and illustrate the cut of the adult dress and the child's dress, with clean lines and technical annotations. The sheet also shows the distribution of elements on the fabric, facilitating cutting and assembly for both experienced sewers and enlightened amateurs.

The document is printed on cream paper, with a slight visible patina, typical of old publications. The edges of the sheet show a very subtle curve, without tears or marked folds on the visible side. The print contrast remains clearly legible, making it easy to identify each pattern element and its associated instructions.

The sheet highlights a clothing style emblematic of the early 1970s: clean lines, short-sleeved dresses, patch pockets, a shirt collar for the adult model, and elegant simplicity for the girl's dress. The visual presentation evokes the accessible and practical fashion of the era, while offering a rare opportunity to find an original pattern from this decade.

At the top of the page, the header clearly indicates the source and date: "SUPPLÉMENT HEBDOMADAIRE GRATUIT À FEMMES D'AUJOURD'HUI N° 1350 – 17 MARS 1971" (FREE WEEKLY SUPPLEMENT TO FEMMES D'AUJOURD'HUI NO. 1350 – MARCH 17, 1971). Size and category information is also explicit for each model.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. The entire visible side is in very good condition for its age, with no apparent major defects. The print remains clear and complete.

Did you know? The magazine "Femmes d'Aujourd'hui" was one of the most widely circulated women's weeklies in France and Belgium in the 1960s-1970s. It regularly offered sewing pattern supplements, allowing readers to make fashionable clothes at home, at a time when home sewing was still very common.
