Description

Antique heart-shaped pendant, made of gold-finished metal, typical of the 1950s style. The front features an engraved decoration depicting a stylized Cupid, the archer of love, surrounded by chiseled plant motifs in relief all around the edge. The whole evokes handcrafted work, with a naive and expressive central motif, very emblematic of post-war costume jewelry.

The pendant has a round hole at the top, designed for attachment to a chain, ribbon, or cord. The visible surface offers a matte gold patina, with warm reflections and some darker shades in the hollows of the decoration, highlighting the relief of the motif. The contours of the heart are slightly irregular, accentuating the vintage and handmade appearance of the piece.
