Description

This antique religious pendant has an elegantly crafted round shape, with a suspension loop integrated into the upper part. On the visible side, the relief decoration depicts a female figure holding a child in her arms, identifiable as the Virgin and Child in Christian iconography. The contours of the medallion are highlighted by a twisted or corded motif, while the lower and side parts are adorned with scrolls and plant motifs in relief, adding character to the whole.

The surface of the pendant shows a visible patina, with shades of golden brown and traces of natural oxidation, typical of an object that has survived decades.
