Vintage Advertising Pin Enamel Peter Stuyvesant Red Gold Rare Old Badge
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
Old advertising pin featuring the Peter Stuyvesant brand, typical of the promotional campaigns carried out by cigarette manufacturers in the second half of the 20th century. This pin has a freeform shape, cut around the logo, with a dominant bright red and shiny gold contours. The front, visible in the photo, presents a graphic motif combining the name "Peter Stuyvesant" in white handwritten lettering on a red background, underlined by a stylized wave or scroll-shaped gold motif, evoking movement or smoke. The whole is enhanced by a smooth, enameled surface, which accentuates the intensity of the colors and the brilliance of the gold parts.
The object, a badge or pin, shows careful cutting, with clean edges and a finish that reveals a marked contrast between the enameled red and the gold. No major defects are visible on the front, apart from very slight micro-traces of possible use under glancing light, without impacting the legibility of the graphics. The typography and graphic style strongly evoke a production from the 1980s to 1990s, a period during which this type of advertising medium was widely distributed by tobacco brands.
The photo shows the pin placed on a textured pink case, with a floral decor in the background and a few golden glitter flakes scattered in the foreground, highlighting the decorative nature of the object. The contrast between the deep red of the enamel and the golden brilliance of the outline is particularly striking, making it a visually attractive accessory for lovers of old advertising or vintage badges.
The lettering "Peter Stuyvesant" is perfectly legible, as is the accompanying graphic motif. No other logo, mention or additional detail is visible on the front. The shape of the pin faithfully follows the contour of the graphics, with no superfluous areas, which testifies to careful manufacturing, typical of quality promotional objects from this era.
