Description

This old advertising pin features the "Biscuits Mistral" brand. It is a round badge with an enlarged base that displays the brand name in dark blue handwritten lettering on a golden background. The upper part of the pin features a stylized illustration of an urban or village landscape, typical of Provence or the south of France, with enameled colors of midnight blue, dark green, and gold. The whole is highlighted by a glossy finish, characteristic of enameled pins manufactured at the end of the 20th century.

The central motif shows buildings recognizable by their silhouette, including a bell tower or a tower, against a background of vegetation and a colorful sky. The contrast between the golden areas and the solid color blocks gives a retro look, reinforced by the handwritten graphics of the "Biscuits Mistral" text.

The visible surface of the pin has a smooth texture, with no apparent relief other than the separations between the different colored areas. The contours are sharp and the gilding, although slightly patinated in places, retains a good shine. No major chips or obvious defects are visible on the exposed face.

The item is photographed in situ, placed on an old molded decorative box, which highlights its retro and advertising aspect. This type of pin was often distributed in the 1980s-1990s to promote French food brands. This is a typical example of a vintage promotional badge, appreciated for its colorful aesthetics and its connection to regional industrial history.

The main colors observed are gold, navy blue, dark green, and a reddish-brown shade for the buildings. The lettering and contours are also highlighted in gold, accentuating the visual effect.

Condition

Used item sold as is, with a slight patina of wear visible on the gilding. The front surface does not show any deep scratches or major enamel loss.
