Description

Old advertising pin featuring a motorcycle rally scene, issued for the year 1993 by the CER brand. The visible side features a stylized silhouette of the African continent in yellow, with the inscriptions "LE CAP 1993" in capital letters. In the foreground, a motorcyclist in blue and red attire, riding a red motorcycle, is depicted, a detail highlighted by the colored enamel work characteristic of 90s pins.

The lower part of the pin features a golden rectangular plate, on which the inscription "cer" is written in black, framed by two red arrows. The whole evokes a rally-raid aesthetic, probably in reference to a car or motorcycle event connecting France to South Africa, via Cape Town, which echoes the tradition of the great African rallies of that period.

The golden finish, visible on the rim and base, gives the object a bright metallic appearance. The main colors are bright yellow, blue, red, and black, offering a sharp contrast and optimal legibility of the motifs and inscriptions. The enamel work appears precise, with no apparent overflows on the photographed side.

The pin exhibits a style typical of 1990s advertising production, recognizable by its simplified lines and the use of bold colors.
