Description

This vintage advertising pin features a stylized shape representing a row of upright and tilted books, in relief, with a polychrome enameled finish. The main colors are blue, burgundy red, and an orange accent, with each book clearly outlined by a bright golden trim. On the lower part, a black band bears the clear inscription: "LE CLUB OÙ IL FAIT BON LIRE" (THE CLUB WHERE READING IS GOOD). To the right, two intertwined circles, one blue and one red, complete the motif, reminiscent of a logo or affiliation with a specific book club.

The pin has a flat and compact structure, typical of promotional badges distributed in the 80s-90s by clubs, associations, or cultural establishments. The contrast of colors, combined with the embossed gilding, adds an immediately identifiable retro touch, reinforced by the simple and evocative graphic of the world of books.

The visible face does not show a manufacturer's mark, but the aesthetic and typography of the inscription clearly evoke vintage production. The back fastening is not visible in the photo, but it is most likely a butterfly clutch system, standard for this type of advertising pin.

The surface appears well preserved, without deep scratches or major loss of enamel, which is remarkable for an object of this type and era. The gilding, though slightly patinated, retains a beautiful luster.

This advertising badge is intended to represent membership or support for a book club, and it is perfect for lovers of books and retro literary souvenirs.
