Description
Antique pipe with a fakir head, attributed to the Antenophone brand, visible on the sculpted part. The object is distinguished by a finely carved bowl in the shape of a bearded face, typical of the orientalist inspirations found on "figural" pipes. The top of the bowl has a circular opening, with an area blackened by use, characteristic of meerschaum pipes. Several rings or hallmarks are visible on the side of the bowl, details often present on quality models.

The stem has a marbled amber hue, with shades ranging from golden yellow to dark brown, typical of amber or amber-style mouthpieces. The transition between the sculpted bowl and the stem is clean, without additional decoration, highlighting the quality of the main material's craftsmanship. The pipe has a classic curved shape, very ergonomic, reminiscent of late 19th or early 20th-century models.

The whole highlights a harmonious contrast between the light color of the bowl and the shimmering reflections of the stem. The fakir motif is carved in relief, with great attention to the details of the beard, hair, and turban. The visible part of the face reveals a serene expression, a signature of traditional craftsmanship in meerschaum pipe carving.

Several marks or hallmarks are visible on the top of the bowl, but no legible text appears clearly in the photo. The patina of the bowl testifies to a certain age and regular use, with traces of fouling around the opening.
