BUHL Pup old airplane plan - vintage aviation technical drawing
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This document is an old technical drawing depicting the "BUHL Pup" aircraft, an American single-engine sports plane. It is a detailed, hand-drawn and annotated diagram, intended for the construction of a scale model or for the study of the aircraft. The drawing occupies a large unfolded sheet, placed on an old wooden desk, in a period setting with a bookcase in the background.
On the visible part, the inscription "BUHL Pup" is clearly distinguishable, followed by the mention "American single-seater sports plane, for 2 to 4 c.c. engines" and the signature "by Maurice Mouton". The drawing details the main structure of the aircraft, with profile views, cross-sections, tail, wings and landing gear. The handwritten annotations specify measurements, materials to be used and mounting points, which attests to its use as a construction plan or for aeronautical modeling.
The document is drawn in black ink on yellowish paper, with some traces of aging at the edges, notably visible stains and folds on the left. The overall impression is that of a period drawing, probably mid-20th century, typical of technical documents for model makers or aeronautical engineers.
The layout of the plan shows great precision in the drawing of lines and the arrangement of elements: wings, fuselage, struts and structural parts are detailed with rigor. Shaded areas and handwritten annotations reinforce the authenticity of the drawing. No reverse side or additional details are visible in the photograph.
The plan is presented flat on a patinated wooden desk, surrounded by old books and study objects, which highlights its historical and technical character. No frame or support is visible, the sheet being simply placed on the table.
Condition
Second-hand item sold as is. The plan shows signs of wear related to its age: slightly crumpled edges and visible stains, mainly on the left. The entire diagram remains perfectly legible and usable.
Did you know? The BUHL Pup was a light American aircraft produced in the late 1920s, mainly used for sport and recreational aviation. This type of plan was frequently published in modeling magazines or distributed by aeromodeling clubs to allow the faithful construction of balsa and plywood scale models.
