Description

This old, rounded, diamond-shaped plaque has a rough and granular appearance, typical of objects cast in an unpolished metal alloy. It has a hole at the top, allowing it to be hung on a wall or support, a common use for commemorative plaques or exhibition badges.

The raised decoration features the following inscriptions: "L'EXPO INTER MARSEILLE 1979" in an arc at the top, and "VIDAL NAG BL" in a rectangular cartouche at the bottom. In the center, a stylized motif evokes a bull or ox head surrounded by wings, a symbol often associated with agricultural exhibitions or livestock competitions. The letters "P" and "H" are placed on either side of the central motif.

The surface of the plaque displays a homogeneous patina, with brown nuances and some visible traces of oxidation, reinforcing its vintage and authentic character. No finishing varnish is apparent, leaving the raw material visible, with slight irregularities in texture and small points of wear, particularly on the raised areas.

All inscriptions are clear and legible, although natural wear and tear is noticeable on some edges. The mention "1979" clearly places the piece in the late 1970s, while the presence of the name "Vidal" suggests either a manufacturer, or an organizer or exhibitor associated with the event.

The visible side shows no major cracks or chips, but retains marks of use typical of this type of commemorative object. No colored or enameled decoration is observable, the general tint remaining uniform over the entire exposed surface.
