Description

This antique military plaque features a central ridge shield shape, typical of French regimental tradition insignia. The object has a patinated metallic finish, with golden reflections and visible oxidation or pitting, particularly on the upper part. The central relief is adorned with a stylized flaming grenade emblem, characteristic of French infantry, with the number "12" clearly visible in the center of the grenade.

Around this central motif, the motto "HONNEUR FIDELITE VALEUR DISCIPLINE" (HONOR LOYALTY VALOR DISCIPLINE) is embossed in capital letters, emphasizing the regiment's attachment to traditional military values. The lettering is clear, though slightly faded by the wear of time, which gives the whole an authentic and antique appearance.

The plaque has a curved surface, with sharp contours and a distinct lower point. The reverse is not visible in the photo, and no attachment system or additional markings are observable on the front.
