Description

This lot consists of several old photographic plates, visible in the image, accompanied by an original cardboard sleeve from the "PHOTO-DOCK" brand, located at 152 Rue de Rome in Paris. The visual shows a rigid grey-beige sleeve adorned with a circular blue logo, typical of photographic supplies from the early to mid-20th century. The words "APPAREILS ET FOURNITURES" (EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES) are clearly visible on the sleeve, confirming its professional or advanced amateur purpose.

The visible plates have a glossy black surface, protected in a transparent envelope. Their rectangular format and the appearance of the materials correspond to glass plates used in silver halide photography before flexible films became widespread. No pattern or image is discernible on the visible side, which is common for glass negatives or undeveloped plates viewed in ambient light.

The sleeve shows signs of light use, with some creases at the corners, but remains in overall good condition for its age. The graphic style of the logo and the Parisian address evoke a design typical of the 1930s to 1950s, reinforcing the vintage authenticity of the lot. The general presentation suggests carefully preserved equipment, suitable for antique photography or for recreating a retro darkroom.

This lot will be perfect for those looking for period accessories for traditional photography, studio decoration, or enhancing a space dedicated to the history of photography. The set brings together both the historical object (original sleeve) and the old photographic medium (plates), two rare elements to find together in this condition.
