Description

This lot consists of three antique religious plaques, each featuring distinct Christian iconography. The first visible item is a molded parchment-style plaque, with a carved wood appearance, adorned with an embossed medallion representing the Virgin of Lourdes surrounded by the inscription "Lourdes, Grotte de Massabielle," and a text in metallic letters "I.D. de oi bénissez" (I.D. of oi bless). This piece is distinguished by its material effect imitating worked wood, with irregular contours and a perforation for hanging.

The second object is a religious image under glass, framed by a silver geometric patterned frame, depicting a saint in black and white habit, hands crossed on her chest, in an attitude of contemplation. The metal frame features stylized angles and a shiny finish, enhancing the devotional aspect of the ensemble.

The third item is a religious medal inserted into a circular metal mount, fixed on a green cardboard marked "RICORDO DI PADOVA." The central image shows a scene of tenderness between a saint (probably Saint Anthony of Padua) and a child, typical of Italian religious souvenir iconography. The presentation evokes pilgrimage souvenirs, with a sober aesthetic from the 1950s-1970s.

These objects are all designed for display, whether by hanging (first plaque) or placed on a surface (frame and medallion). Each features traditional Catholic religious iconography, with particular attention paid to figurative details, typography, and the highlighting of holy figures.

The lot offers a beautiful variety of material appearances: imitation wood, silver-effect metal, glass, and printed cardboard. Used items, sold as is. Traces of use and visible patina, small cosmetic defects consistent with age: scratches, marks on the frames and the surface of the plaque, slight wear on paper and metal supports. Please examine the photo carefully to appreciate the overall condition.
