Description

Old advertising keyring in the shape of a wine bottle, typical of promotional items from French wine houses in the mid-20th century. The keyring takes the form of a small, elongated bottle, with a dark finish visually evoking the tinted glass used for red wine bottles. The top cap, matching the color of the bottle body, is directly molded into the mass, with no visible decoration on the presented side.

The front label, with a retro graphic style, is clearly legible and features a hilly vineyard decor, with houses and stylized rows of vines on a green and yellow background. The inscription "BEAUJOLAIS" appears in red capital letters, surmounting the mention "ABBAYE DES CLOS" in smaller characters. This visual, typical of the 60s-70s, evokes the traditional imagery of French wine-growing regions.

The keyring is equipped with a wide-opening metal ring, connected to the bottle by a discreet attachment. The appearance of the ring and chain, visible in the photo, suggests robust manufacturing suitable for daily use. No other markings or logos are visible on the presented side.

The surface of the keyring shows signs of use, including slight scratches and a patina on the bottle, confirming its vintage authenticity. The label, well-centered, is in good condition with small signs of aging visible on the edges.

This type of item was frequently distributed by wine producers as a promotional gift and bears witness to the history of French wine marketing. The realistic shape of the bottle and the faithful decor make it a charming object for collectors of old advertising items or souvenirs related to the world of wine.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Visible signs of wear on the surface and label (see photos). Functional attachment mechanism on the presented side.

Did you know? The Beaujolais region, located north of Lyon, is renowned for its red wines made from the Gamay grape variety. Promotional items in the shape of bottles were commonly distributed in the 1960s-1970s at fairs or during Beaujolais Nouveau launches, a popular tradition that began in 1951.
