Soloflex advertising keyring from the 60s-70s, rare, retro translucent look
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This old advertising keychain has a rectangular shape with rounded edges and a main body that appears translucent and slightly domed. The visible side displays an insert with a light background featuring the "SOLOFLEX" logo inscribed within a dark oval. Above it, "DARRIGOL & GAGNEZ" is legible, followed by an address: "125 91S RUE DU CHEMIN VERT XII". This type of graphic design, along with the style of the keychain, clearly evokes a production from the 1960s-1970s, typical of utilitarian advertising objects of that era.
The keychain is equipped with a short chain and a circular, metallic-looking ring, showing signs of wear and some oxidation visible in the photo. The aged golden-colored ring contrasts with the matte transparency of the main body. The overall effect is retro, accentuated by the typography and layout of the inscription.
The surface of the keychain shows signs of use: micro-scratches, scuff marks, and small stains, characteristic of advertising objects that have been in circulation for several decades. The inscriptions remain generally legible, although slightly faded by time. The object is photographed on a wooden table, in natural light, which highlights the slightly satin texture of the main material.
The simple, functional, and robust design, as well as the presence of a complete address, are typical of promotional keychains distributed by companies or businesses in the 60s-70s. This Soloflex model stands out for its vintage style and original condition, with all visible period elements.
Condition

Did you know? Translucent or injected plastic advertising keychains became very popular in France from the 1950s onwards, often mass-produced to promote local businesses, garages, or industrial brands. The style with a complete address and graphic logo is characteristic of this period, before the widespread adoption of more modern promotional materials.
