Vintage advertising keyring Cassis L'Héritier Guyot Dijon France retro
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This antique advertising keychain features a round, flat, and slightly domed shape, characteristic of promotional items from the 1960s-1970s. It highlights the L'Héritier Guyot brand, an iconic Dijon company specializing in the production of blackcurrant liqueur. The visible side features a pale blue background enhanced by a wide horizontal yellow band, on which the inscription "L'HERITIER GUYOT" is written in capitals. The words "Cassis" and "Dijon" are affixed in golden cursive letters, giving the whole an elegant touch typical of period advertising.
The medallion's surface shows a marked patina, with visible wear and crackling, especially on the yellow band and around the inscriptions. This testifies to its authenticity and its use over time. The pastel colors, combined with the retro typography, immediately evoke the French advertising aesthetic of the mid-20th century.
The keychain is equipped with a short link chain and a metal-finished fixing ring, showing oxidation and traces of rust typical of antique objects. The attachment appears original, with a worn appearance consistent with the rest of the piece. No additional logo or inscription is visible on the other side, which is not shown in the image.
This type of advertising keychain was often offered by alcohol and spirits brands to promote their products, and it is now sought after for its vintage design and its connection to the history of great French houses.
