Vintage Paris-Savoy advertising keychain, brass look, 60s-70s
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
Old advertising keychain from the Paris-Savoy brand, typical of promotional items from the 1960s-70s. The item has a rectangular ingot shape with right angles and a patinated brass-like finish, accentuating its retro character. The keyring is attached by a visible link chain, made of metal matching the main piece.
The visible side features an embossed inscription, carefully molded, stating: "PARIS-SAVOY – SES 3 SPÉCIALITÉS AU RHUM – ROYAL CERISES, ROYAL ORANGES, ROYAL FONDANT" (PARIS-SAVOY – ITS 3 RUM SPECIALTIES – ROYAL CHERRIES, ROYAL ORANGES, ROYAL FONDANT). The letters are clear, well-aligned, and reflect the careful manufacturing typical of vintage advertising items. The different lines of text are separated by incised lines, enhancing readability and the graphic effect of the whole.
The overall appearance of the keychain is reminiscent of old advertising items, with a visible patina and some signs of wear that highlight its vintage authenticity. The edges are slightly rounded, and the surface shows some traces of oxidation or rubbing, typical of prolonged use. No major chips or deformations are visible in the photo.
The keychain is photographed resting on a small varnished wooden cabinet, which highlights the matte gold color of the object. Natural lighting reveals the nuances of the metal and the depth of the engraving. This type of keychain was frequently offered by confectioneries or chocolate shops to promote rum specialties, as indicated by the detailed inscription.
The circular ring, of a matching color, appears robust and suitable for daily use. The attachment chain is made of standard links, without any particular decorative motif, but consistent with the overall object.
