Description

This antique straight razor features a traditional straight blade shape, characteristic of manual shaving instruments used before the advent of the safety razor. The blade, visible in the photo, has a matte finish and bears an engraved inscription "Widerstrat Solingen", indicating the brand and the German city renowned for its fine cutlery. This clearly legible marking attests to the authenticity and origin of this razor.

The light-colored handle (ivory or cream depending on visual appearance, material not specified) has a smooth texture, with some visible traces and small stains, signs of past use. A partially erased label or sticker residue is visible on the central part of the handle. The set rests on a burgundy-colored, velvety-textured case or stand, only partially visible in the photo.

The junction between the blade and the handle is secured by a visible metal rivet. The overall condition shows a slight patina, typical of an old object, with some marks of use on the blade and handle.
