Description

This lot includes a pair of elbow and knee patches, visible in their original packaging. Each piece features a classic oval shape, suitable for repairing or reinforcing clothing in high-wear areas. The color displayed is a matte, uniform, patternless navy blue, typical of utilitarian textile accessories from the 1970s. A small tone-on-tone blue circle is visible in the center of each patch, a characteristic detail of some vintage models.

The visible side shows a smooth, slightly satin finish, reminiscent of the PVC mentioned on the packaging. The edges are clean, with no apparent perforations, indicating a sew-on model, by hand or machine, as specified on the card.

The original packaging is preserved, with a pink card bearing the text "renforts pour coudes et genoux" (elbow and knee reinforcements) and the mention "PVC, supporte le lavage" (PVC, washable). The brand identifiable by the stylized "NS" logo and the color reference "MARINE" are present. An old price is still visible, attesting to the authenticity of vintage stock.

This type of patch is designed to extend the life of clothing, particularly sweaters, jackets, or pants, by adding a discreet and abrasion-resistant protective layer to the most stressed areas. The visual appearance clearly evokes utilitarian French manufacturing from the 70s to 80s.
