Description

SMI mechanical table alarm clock, French-made, presented here in a typical mid-20th century style. The item has a classic round shape, mounted on two small inclined feet. The casing has a patinated finish, with traces of oxidation and visible wear, attesting to its age and previous use.

The dial features a light background, yellowed by time, adorned with a series of stylized black Arabic numerals, distributed around a decorative circle formed by star-shaped patterns. The main hands, slender and elongated, are dark in color and contrast sharply with the dial background. A small additional hand, located inside a secondary circle at the top of the dial, indicates the alarm function.

At the center of the dial is the emblematic SMI logo, accompanied by the inscription "MADE IN FRANCE" at the bottom. The dial is protected by a domed glass, encircled by a thin light border. The ensemble expresses a retro style, characteristic of bedside or desk alarm clocks from the 1950s-1960s, highly sought after for vintage decoration or restoration.
