Description

Japy mechanical table alarm clock, presented here in an authentic vintage style. The object features a circular front face, highlighted by a copper finish with a patinated appearance. The dial, protected by a domed glass, displays large black Roman numerals on a decorative background adorned with discreet floral motifs, typical of some French productions from the mid-20th century.

The central dial has two main hands, rectangular and beveled, with a two-tone finish. A small secondary dial for the alarm is also visible, positioned below the XII, as well as a seconds counter at the bottom of the dial. The name "Japy" is clearly inscribed in the center, just above the main axis.

The structure of the alarm clock includes two symmetrical bells on top, surmounted by an arched metal handle, characteristic of double-bell mechanical alarm clocks. Two cylindrical gilded metal feet provide stability at the front, while the base features a visible ribbed relief on the lower part.

The exterior surface shows traces of oxidation, wear and patina, particularly on the copper perimeter and gilded elements. The dial glass shows signs of aging and appears slightly tarnished, reinforcing the antique appearance of the whole. No decoration is visible on the sides or top, apart from the functional elements mentioned.

The ensemble evokes a classic design typical of French alarm clocks from the 20th century, recognizable by its rounded shapes, sober aesthetic, and metallic finishes.

Used item sold as is, for restoration. Presence of visible signs of wear, patina, oxidation, and marks on the dial and case. Functionality not guaranteed, restoration needed.
