Old Jaz table alarm clock to restore, vintage embossed numerals dial

Description

This antique Jaz alarm clock is presented here in its original condition, for restoration. It is a typical model of French production from the mid-20th century, identifiable by its rounded case and its patinated metallic finish. The light-colored dial, now patinated and stained by time, displays large embossed golden numerals, typical of vintage style and easily legible. The Jaz logo, accompanied by the emblematic bird, is clearly visible on the lower part of the dial.

The case has a metallic-looking surface, heavily marked by wear, with numerous traces of oxidation and pitting visible on the side and perimeter. Two short feet ensure the stability of the object, while a lateral metal adjustment stem is visible on the right. The dial also features a small circular window in the center, surrounded by numbered markings, typical of mechanical alarm clocks of that era.

The hands are missing on this model, leaving the mechanism exposed in the center of the dial. Several inscriptions are visible: in addition to the Jaz logo, "Made in France" can be seen at the bottom of the dial, as well as usage indications around the dial. The background of the dial has a uniform patina, highlighting the age of the alarm clock and its potential for restoration or display in a retro decor.

This Jaz alarm clock offers a representative example of the utilitarian and robust design of French clocks before the 1960s. Its curved shape, voluminous numerals, and short-legged base recall the brand's classic productions, highly appreciated for their recognizable style and solidity.
