Description

Mechanical alarm clock from the WEHRLE brand, model visible in the photo, presented vertically on a wooden surface. The case has a gilded finish with a patinated appearance, typical of mid-20th century productions. The front is circular, with a brushed silver dial radiating out and clear black Arabic numerals for each hour. The main hands, black, have luminous green tips, as does the alarm hand, which made nighttime reading easier. The dial bears the inscriptions "WEHRLE" in the center and "BONIT 2 JEWELS" above the number 6, as well as "MADE IN GERMANY" at the bottom.

The edge of the dial is circled by a visibly gilded ring, whose patina testifies to prolonged use and gives the whole an authentic vintage charm. The upper adjustment knob, also gilded, is clearly visible and accessible. The feet, positioned on either side of the base, stabilize the alarm clock and emphasize its retro design.

The typography used for the numbers, as well as the arrangement of the hands and the appearance of the dial, strongly evoke the productions of the 1950s to 1970s, a period when the WEHRLE brand was recognized for its robust and reliable alarm clocks.
