Description

An old issue of the French literary journal "Revue des Deux Mondes," presented here in its December 15, 1936 edition. The visible cover shows cream-colored paper, patinated by time, with classic interwar typography. The edges are slightly dog-eared, particularly the lower right corner which has a distinct fold, typical of copies that have circulated. The printing on the cover is clear, in black, with the main title well-centered and detailed information on the contents and authors in aligned columns. The spine of the magazine, visible on the left, also bears the title and date.

The cover page highlights the complete list of articles and authors, including Pierre Benoit, Paul Gautier, Baronne de Staël, and Louis Gillet. According to the inscription, the issue contains 248 pages and retailed for 7 francs 50 at the time. The publisher's address, "15, rue de l'Université, Paris," is at the bottom of the page. The entire work is printed on matte paper, slightly yellowed with age, which enhances its vintage and authentic appearance.

The layout is typical of intellectual journals from the first half of the 20th century, with a sober, hierarchical, and readable organization. The upper right corner of the cover shows a small tear or crease, which does not affect the readability of the text. No other major flaws are visible on the presented face.

The journal rests on a wooden surface, evoking the classic setting of a library or scholar's office. In the background, shelves of old books are visible, emphasizing the heritage character of this periodical.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Visible signs of age: dog-eared corners, paper patina, small marks on the cover. The overall presentation remains good for a periodical of this era.
