Description

An old issue of the literary and cultural journal "Revue des Deux Mondes", dated July 1, 1936, as visible on the cover. The item presented here is a stapled magazine in the traditional format, with a soft beige cover slightly patinated by time. The title "REVUE DES DEUX MONDES" appears in large capital letters on the front cover, accompanied by the name of the founder François Buloz and the mention "cent sixième année" (one hundred and sixth year).

The cover page displays the detailed table of contents with the titles of the articles and the names of the authors (Charles Silvestre, Hippolyte Parigot, Edmond Pilon, Gabriel Hanotaux, among others), which characterizes this type of intellectual publication from the interwar period. Several themes are covered: literature, economics, aviation, scientific issues, shows, and politics. The journal also indicates its publishing address: "PARIS — 15, rue de l’Université."

The document shows signs of age with some visible wear marks on the corners and slight traces on the cover, typical of a period copy that has spanned decades. The original typography, sober and elegant, is characteristic of French publications from the 1930s. The edges of the cover show a slight curvature and some discreet stains, with no apparent tears on the visible side.

The mentioned issue comprises 240 pages and was sold at the time for 6 francs, as indicated at the bottom of the first page. The journal rests on a wooden surface in a library environment, which highlights its heritage and authentic aspect.

Condition

Used item, sold as is. Some signs of wear, blunted corners, small visible stains on the cover. No mention of restoration or major apparent defects on the visible side.
