MICHA Review 1985 vintage robots retro cover children's press
AFW - Antique France Worldwide
Description
This lot features a vintage copy of the illustrated children's magazine titled "MICHA". This is issue 1/1985, as indicated on the cover. The front cover is distinguished by a very colorful illustration, predominantly pink and purple, depicting a science fiction scene with two stylized robots on a mountainous, fantastical landscape under a starry sky. This retro visual is reminiscent of the aesthetic of European youth magazines from the 1980s, where space and robotic themes were prominent.
The title "MICHA" is clearly visible at the top of the cover in green letters, accompanied by a drawn medallion showing a smiling child's face on the left and a bear's head on the right. Below it is the mention "Mensuel illustré pour enfants" (Illustrated Monthly for Children) and the ISSN 0208-1628. The issue number "1/1985" precisely indicates the publication period.
On the right side of the cover, an orange band presents the illustrated table of contents for this issue, with colorful vignettes: a hot air balloon (page 3), a character with an axe (page 16), a scene with alien creatures and ancient buildings (page 19), and a silhouette of a house under the moon (page 20). These elements confirm the diversity of sections and the youth orientation of the magazine.
The magazine shows visible signs of wear on the spine and corners, typical of an old periodical that has been handled. The cover also shows some surface aging marks, particularly on the white part of the title and around the edges, with no apparent major tears on the visible front.
The graphic style, vibrant colors, and choice of themes (robots, space, adventures) are characteristic of youth publications from Eastern and Western Europe in the 1980s. This item is aimed at anyone looking for a period magazine, both for its visual, documentary, and decorative interest.
